Established in 1978, SMC Corporation (U.K.) Ltd. is located in Milton Keynes which is situated between the major cities of London and Birmingham. They have experienced steady growth since their inception, and now have approximately 300 employees, including 95 on their sales team.
Operations are supported not only by the head office sales department, but also by 25 Distributors nationwide.
Experienced engineers from the design department support the manufacture of many types of actuators, assembly work for special orders, and the operation of control systems in the Milton Keynes factory.
The head office building incorporates a warehouse serving as SMC' distribution hub for the UK market.
In the early 1990s, SMC U.K. founded an overseas sales office in Dublin, Ireland, laying the foundation for a future SMC Pneumatics Ireland.
